Full-Stack Business Operations (Internal Product)

  • IT & Digital Transformation
  • Full-time
  • Sintra, PT

About the job

Aralab is a leading manufacturer of environmental chambers and is committed to innovation, quality, design, and social responsibility. We are engineering-driven and hundreds of renowned research institutions and multinational companies have partnered with us for the past 41 years. Our team is currently 100 strong and is headquartered in Sintra, Portugal.

Your Team

The IT & Digital Transformation Team is a young and ambitious team located at our headquarters in Sintra. We are responsible for maintaining and improving the systems that keep our company running, ensuring our employees are happy and as efficient as possible at their jobs. We do that by keeping our infrastructure and software tools at the state of the art and by regularly delivering digital transformation projects to our teams and to our products.

Your Role

You'll be joining the IT & Digital Transformation Team to product-own the internal platforms that run Aralab: our ERP, our CRM, the data layer that connects everything we do, and other tiny apps that sit in between. As part of our technical Business Operations cluster, you'll be the bridge between business stakeholders across the company and the engineering resources (internal, AI-assisted, and outsourced) that turn their pain points into working software.

We're looking for someone who's AI-native. You're already using tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode daily. You don't wait for specs; you prototype, iterate, and deliver. You create systems that make your team more efficient.

What you'll do:

  • Product-own our ERP (we use PHC, but that’s irrelevant). We're in a debundling phase — moving functions out of the ERP into modern systems (SaaS, self-hosted open-source, or custom-built) wherever that gives us more leverage. You'll decide what stays, what goes, and what replaces it, and lead each migration end-to-end.

  • Product-own our CRM stack (Zoho). We migrated to Zoho CRM recently and there's deep improvement work ahead — across Zoho CRM and the wider Zoho stack. You'll own the roadmap, the integrations, and how the company gets the most out of it.

  • Build our data layer from scratch. We want to stand up a data warehouse as the source of truth for the business and for internal applications. You'll lead this with internal ownership and external support — not as a pure data engineer, but as the product owner who turns it into something the whole company uses.

  • Manage our external software development partners — scope engagements, review deliverables, validate quality, and gate everything before it touches production.

  • Run user research, write clear functional and technical requirements, and procure software development or SaaS when building doesn't make sense.

About You

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and a builder's mindset. You're entrepreneurial and ambitious — you take a half-formed problem, carve out a path, and ship. You'd rather put something imperfect in front of users this week than something perfect next quarter.

  • You're a great communicator who moves comfortably between shop-floor conversations, engineering sync-ups, and leadership updates. You keep stakeholders aligned without creating bureaucracy.

  • You're intensely curious and always learning. When you hit something unfamiliar, your first instinct is to dig in, read the docs, and figure it out — not to delegate it away.

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, tech consulting, BizOps, or a related field

  • Fluent in Portuguese, intermediate English

We'll consider a plus if you have:

  • Created AI agents

  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or data warehouse projects — PHC, Zoho, or modern open-source data stacks especially

  • Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, Windmill, Kestra, Activepieces, etc.

  • Comfort with SQL and data modelling

  • Experience managing tech projects in a small company, startup, or scrappy team environment

Why Aralab?

  • Competitive salary and bonuses

  • Flexible hybrid work policy

  • Upskill allowance for certs and events

  • Clear internal career progression path

  • Company phone and laptop

  • Health insurance from day one

  • Company-wide events and teambuilding activities
